CUSTOMER SPECIALIST I MULTIMEDIA PRODUCTION: VIDEO, PHOTOGRAPHY + WRITTEN

This role developed from customer specialist to multimedia production and creative development around Help Center content on the site.
This role required to work cross-departmentally with every department within the company.

An example of the work developed in this role is referred to in the the photo I took below of Yesenia and Sergio at a press release for Telemundo to capture the special narrative behind the GoFundMe campaign, “We rise by lifting others”, initiated by Yesenia Ortiz of San Diego.
Yesenia created a campaign for a homeless family after the father, Sergio, returned her lost check to the address listed. Yesenia and I worked together to create content to respond to the outpour of support from the public in the form of a thank you video, causing an increase in exposure to the media and raising $22K (An original goal was $5K).
This exposure became the catalyst and feedback loop for GoFundme to begin focusing more energy on resource support for our campaign organizers when receiving large amounts of media attention and cash at the same time.
